The notes
Madeira’s only water park we found is in the municipality of Santa Cruz on the east coast, near the airport and about halfway between Caniço and Machico. The tourist board lists several pools, three water slides, four fast lanes, a fast river, a “black hole”, a slow river, a leisure pool and an “aqualand” for children, plus a bar with a terrace and changing rooms.
What we could not confirm: the operating season, hours and ticket prices. On 4 August 2026, JM Madeira reported a plan to open all year and a 50% resident discount. The tourist board still describes the park as open June–September on its nearby Ribeira da Boaventura page. These sources conflict, and neither is a current notice from the park. Confirm directly before planning an autumn or winter visit.
