About us

We're [DOPLNIT — Lukáš: jména, např. „Lukáš, …, and our kids“], a family that has spent roughly a year in the Algarve over the last three years, mostly in Sagres and Lagos. We work remotely, so our questions were always the same three: where can we work, where do we sleep, and what do the kids do all day.

What we write, and how we label it

Every page says where its facts come from. Two labels matter most:

• Checked on the ground: we've been there ourselves and say when.
• Researched: we haven't been, or not recently. We checked the business's own website, maps and other sources, list them with dates, and say so. We don't write “we loved it” about a place we only read about.

Opening hours, prices and Wi-Fi change. Each fact carries the date we last checked it; if it matters, check before you go.

Who the site is for

Remote workers staying a month or more, people on a working holiday, and families. We try to answer all three on every page.

How the site is paid for

Through partner links and, later, local partners. Both are always labelled. Details in ouraffiliate disclosure.
