What the sources say (research)

  • Chapel recorded before 1522, rebuilt in Baroque style in 1764. The stairway built in 1968 has 100 steps and 10 landings with tile panels of the rosary mysteries. Classified as a Property of Public Interest since 2004. [Azores tourism portal, checked 14 Oct 2026]
