The Tram Museum (contact address @stcp.pt, the city’s bus and tram operator) sits on the Douro riverfront in Massarelos. It is an indoor option for children interested in the historic trams. Young children go free and ages 6–18 pay €4. A tram ticket gives 30% (single ride) or 50% (two-day ticket) off the entry; the tram ticket is bought on board from the driver, and the museum ticket does not include a ride.
On the tram itself, see things to do in Porto. More for families: Porto with kids.
Further afield: Serralves (3 km), Parque da Cidade (5 km). Straight-line distances from the centre point, not driving times.
Schematic: positions from each place's coordinates, no roads or coastline. Not for navigation.
