- A small natural pool south of the lava delta where seawater is heated by a thermal spring to about 40 °C next to the rock by the spring at low tide; the spring water rises at about 60 °C. [parquesnaturais.azores.gov.pt, 9 Oct 2026]

- The Termas da Ferraria spa next to the car park was listed as temporarily closed by the regional tourism portal when last checked; confirm the status before travelling. [turismo.azores.gov.pt, 9 Oct 2026]
- Ponta da Ferraria is an official bathing water with a 2026 bathing season of 1 June to 30 September. We could not confirm the lifeguard schedule outside that season, so do not assume supervision. [Portaria 204-A/2026/1, read 14 Oct 2026]
