Small town archaeology museum built around a 12th–13th-century Almohad well-cistern; €2.10, or €3.90 combined with the castle; closed Mondays (CM Silves; research).
Documented only: half price for children (€1.05). A short indoor visit that pairs with the castle on the combined ticket. Research, not first-hand.
Silves’s archaeology museum is the second stop after the castle. It’s a small museum built around a medieval Almohad well-cistern from the 12th and 13th centuries. It opened in 1990 [1]. It’s also a useful indoor hour if the day turns wet.
Further afield: Castelo de Loulé and Museu Municipal (37 km). Straight-line distances from the centre point, not driving times.
