Beach in Cascais
Estoril beach right below the train station, 36 minutes from Cais do Sodré; lifeguards 1 May–30 September 2026; not on the 2026 Blue Flag list (research).
Official profile: station on site, popular with public-transport users. Still the Atlantic: follow the flags. A third-party guide describes a basic salt-water pool on the east side that children like; not confirmed by the town. Research, not first-hand.
Tamariz is the beach in front of Estoril’s casino gardens, across the Marginal road and the railway from them. The official bathing-water profile calls it one of the most cosmopolitan beaches of the Estoril coast and notes that it has its own station, which makes it a favourite with people coming by public transport [APA]. On a weekday the train from Cais do Sodré takes about 36 minutes [CP].
Further afield: Praia do Guincho (7 km). Straight-line distances from the centre point, not driving times.
Schematic: positions from each place's coordinates, no roads or coastline. Not for navigation.
