Wavesensations Surf School (Sagres)

A Sagres surf school that does not stick to one beach: instructors check tide, wind and swell each morning and choose between Tonel, Mareta, Beliche or somewhere else nearby [1]. That matters in Sagres, where the south- and west-facing beaches behave very differently on the same day.

Lessons and ages (published, checked 4 October 2026)

• Group lessons: up to 8 students per instructor, two sessions totalling 3 hours, minimum age 12 [1]
• Kids’ lessons: up to 4 children per instructor, one 2.5-hour session, minimum age 6 [1]
• Private lessons: one or two people, 3 hours over two sessions, minimum age 6 [1]
• Coaching for levels 3–4, from age 16 [1]

The site shows no prices — they appear only inside the booking system [1][2].

Who it suits

Families with children between 6 and 11 (the kids’ format has the smallest groups of any Sagres school we found published), and intermediate surfers who want coaching rather than a first lesson.

Check before you go

The operator says the surf house is being rebuilt, with reopening planned for 27 December 2026. Check accommodation availability separately from surf lessons; the site does not say lessons are paused [2].
